In 1911, Duke Leopold V of Austria and English king Richard the Lionheart of England got into a power struggle during the capture of the city of Acre. Richard was held for ransom on the return journey to England in Erdberg. The huge ransom in silver, which Leopold managed to get of the English people led to the famous legend of Robin Hood.
