10 Dollar Eagle "Liberty Head" Gold Coin 1866-1907

When the coinage of the 10-dollar gold coin "Liberty Head" began in 1866, the United States had just overcome the horrors of the Civil War (1861-1865). But in the following years until 1907, when the coin was issued, were also an eventful period. In 1867, the United States bought Alaska from Russia. In 1868, Ulysses S. Grant, the former Civil War hero and the Northern States commander was selected as the 18th President of the United States and was elected in March 1869.

In the same year, the first continuous transcontinental rail link from the Atlantic to the Pacific was completed. The invention of the telephone by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876, the patent application for the first electric light bulb by Thomas Alva Edison in 1879, the completion of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York in 1883 or the founding of the Ford Motor Company in 1903 also fall into this period.

Now you can own a historic 10 dollar solid gold coin minted from 1866 to 1907!

What's special is that this is also the last 10-dollar gold coin with the world-famous "Coronet Liberty Head" motif. Pictured is the head of the American goddess of freedom wearing a tiara. On the obverse, you can see a majestic bald eagle, the heraldic animal of the USA, with breastplate, branch and the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST".
