In times of financial and economic uncertainty, investors have always sought secure and flexible protection for their assets. But with investment products it is usually the value of the object that is in the foreground and less the flexibility it can provide, if the object has to be sold or exchanged only in part. The Royal Canadian Mint has taken this consideration to heart and developed an ingenious coin innovation.Flexible breakdown of a well-known design - the MapleGram 2015
What is special about the Gold MapleGram 25 is the size of the individual coins and their breakdown. In a set, you receive 25 1g coins made of 99.99% of the finest high-quality fine gold. The design of the coins emulates the Maple Leaf and provides a miniature version of the popular investment coin. After minting the coins, each with its own serial number and certificate, they are sealed in so-called blister packs, the breakdown of which allows each coin to be separated individually. This breakdown makes it possible to sell individual coins, if so required. For safe storage, the blister pack is protected by high-quality outer packaging, the back of which acts as the certificate for the coins it contains.
The coins themselves show the classic maple leaf motif, stating the country of issue (Canada), the fine content (9999), the material (FINE GOLD/ OR PUR) and the denomination (1g) in the inscription on the motif side. The obverse bears the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II At the age of 79, according to the design by the Canadian artist Susanna Blunt. The nominal value of 50 cents and the year of issue are stated on the coin next to the name of the Queen.
