An ingot is an amount of relatively pure material, usually metal, that has been formed into a specific shape or bar for further processing or storage. It's also a term that is commonly used when referring to Gold Bars. Precious metal ingots like gold bars can be used as currency or as a currency reserve without the need for further processing.
