The name of the coin is derived from the armillary sphere: a device that was already well-known in ancient Greece, with which the orbits and movements of celestial bodies can be illustrated. Valcambi has cast this astronomical device in gold with a purity of 999.9/1000, thus creating a coin like none previously made.
Consisting of four individual rings of 1/4 ounce each, the coin can be worn not only as a bracelet (lat. Armilla) but also as a pendant. Of course, when unfolded the armillary coin is a real showpiece in its display case too. Each ring has a registered nominal value of $ 25.00 and is legal tender in the Cook Islands. As such, each ring bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the Cook Islands' official Head of State.
With the armillary coin from Valcambi, we have included a unique product in our range for you. So take the opportunity to add this exceptional piece to your collection today. If you have any questions about the armillary coin or one of our other products, please contact us at any time. You can reach us by e-mail or at the following telephone number: 44 20 36950335.
Please note: After separating the individual rings of the coin, those can no longer be re-connected. An opening of the individual rings is readily possible.
