The Gold Panda series changed in 2016 to match the metric system. The 1/10 oz Gold Panda was replaced with this 3 gram Gold Panda.
The People’s Republic of China issues and guarantees the quality of each coin. Gold Panda coins are minted by various mints including but not limited to Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Shenyang. The Chinese mints do not use mint marks to distinguish between each mint year, however some years do feature a "Y" or "S" mint mark. Chinese mints are known for minor variations in design each year. This has caused the Gold Panda to be extremely sought after by collectors and investors.
