1g Gold Bar | Argor-Heraeus | Year Of The Rabbit 2023

Coininvest and Argor-Heraeus are pleased to present this 2023 Gold 1 Gram Lunar Year of the Rabbit Bar.

Argor-Heraeus is renowned as one of the most active mints in the world, and is an essential supplier for international banks and bullion houses refining silver, gold, platinum and palladium. Argor-Heraeus was founded in Chiasso, Switzerland, in 1951 and its headquarter is now in the town of Mendrisio in Swiss Canton of Ticino.. The company eventually merged with UBS and the German Heraeus Group in 1973 and now generates 23 billion in revenue, employing 15 000 people in 40 countries! Quite a pedigree !

The reverse of this beautiful bar represents a charming scene: a cute rabbit is depicted standing still surrounded by bushes and staring in front of him. The only inscription here is the chinese symbol for “rabbit”. This bar is of course an homage to the Chinese lunar Calendar as 2023 will be the year of the rabbit.

Originating in China millennia ago, each new year is celebrated based on the lunar cycle of time, unlike the Western calendar. Known in China as ‘shengxiao’ (shenz-yaw), the Chinese lunar new years follow a repeating cycle of 12 years, with each year represented by a specific animal and its special attributes: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.The Chinese Zodiac calendar takes its origin from the Legend of the Great race organised by the Jade Emperor. He called the animals to him and all who wished to race had to cross a wide river. The first 12 animals to reach the other side would have a year named after them. The mouse arrived first hitching a ride on the back of the ox. The tiger used his power to make it to shore in third place. And the rabbit cleverly jumped from stone to stone and caught a log which floated to the banks. He then became the fourth animal in the Zodiac calendar! And the rest is history!

The obverse of this beautiful bar features the Argor-Heraeus logo with the inscriptions “Switzerland”, "1 g Fine Gold . 999.9," the assayer's mark, and the bar's unique serial number. Individual bars come in a sealed blister pack with an assay card which also bears this unique serial number matching the number engraved on the bar.

In Chinese astrology the rabbit represents skill and ingenuity but is also strongly associated with luck, beauty and elegance. Those who were born in 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011 and 2023 are said to be optimistic, generous and witty. This gold bar with its cute design and produced by Argor-Heraeus would definitely be a superb gift for them! The 1 gram bar is also ideal for investors as it has a lower premium cost in comparison with the troy oz of gold coins. Secure your copy today on Coininvest!
